Our Story
At Asato's, we take inspiration from our 'small kid' time in Hawaii, recalling visits to the Crack Seed Shop (Candy Shop), Manapua Man (Food Trucks), and Family Potlucks for flavor inspirations. We transform those cherished memories into frozen form, including many non-dairy options, to share with the next generation of Keiki (kids) in Hawaii and around the world! As the Asato family, comprising three generations running a small family business, we are proud to offer our signature Sherbert and other sweet treats in Waikiki. Our Flavors
Our Classic flavors of Strawberry, Pineapple, and Green River (lemon-lime) always on the menu represent the foundation of Hawaii-inspired flavors at Asato's Waikiki. The Asato family takes pride in offering these delicious options. Additionally, our seasonal menu constantly rotates with many Island favorites transformed into frozen form.
Our Community
The Asato Family believes in giving back to our community, which is why we regularly donate a portion of our sales from Asato's Waikiki to local charities and organizations. We love participating in local events and festivals to connect with our amazing community and showcase locally inspired flavors. We look forward to seeing both locals and guests enjoying delicious Waikiki desserts in beautiful Waikiki.
Asato's Flavor Laboratory
Coming January 14th 2026, the Asato's Waikiki will launch a unique Flavor Lab Experience. We’re excited to share the nostalgic flavors of Hawaii in a fun and interactive way for our guests, featuring a locally inspired tasting menu, and Shave Ice. Please note that seating will be reservations only.
